OGEE Curves

An ogee curve is shaped like an S, consisting of two arcs that curve in opposite senses, such that the ends are parallel, or roughly so. It is a type of sigmoid curve.

The shape has many uses in architecture (arches and mouldings) but it is also used in maths, fluid mechanics, as well as marine construction, and plastic surgery (cheek profiles).
